Most people may not want to spend too much time in laundry room, so how to make your laundry room a more inviting room and do your laundry with a happy mood.

First Re-design your light

As we all known the natural light is pivotal for making this neglected space livable. So we can have a bid window for our laundry room but when a big window is not available how should we do, we can use the light to receive this similar effect.

The first factor the recessed light need to consider is the color temperature the daylight (roughly 5500K ) is recommended, the second factor you need to consider is the CRI as close to 100 as possible this the standard you need to take for references. And usually a lower heat output LED or fluorescent lamps will be better than halogen.

Layered Lighting and Sources

Since laundry rooms are usually small so we’d suggest recessed can lights to help you save space, when recessed can lights are not available, flush mount fixtures are the way to go to preserve ceiling space. But when you have a a couple of fluorescent or LED troffers would work beautifully.
Accents and decorations lights since they need big room so usually not recommend but if you have enough room for them it will also be fine to have them. For task light a handful of under cabinet light or table lamp usually perfect to add illumination to a sorting table or a mending area.
